Set amidst a canopy of deodar trees, this timeless abode with a rich history of 75 years seems to have stepped out of the pages of an Indian classic novel – with all its rustic charm and period features. Although the stunning panoramic vistas of the snow-covered peaks take the centre stage at this mesmerizing Pahadi-style hilltop home, for us it’s the stunning rich blue facade that adds more to the home’s elegance and appeal. Designed in a way that adopted the authentic pahadi style of living; where people lived in the top half and cow herds were sheltered on the bottom level, the lower ceilings, petite furnishings, and warm wooden décor are quite evocative of this lifestyle.

When you choose to enjoy your getaway here, it’s not just this property, but the entire hill that would be your own. Spending your days here will encompass wandering through the lush forests, unfettered solitude, the ideal scenario for immersing oneself in a quick read, and a myriad of exhilarating activities like golfing, rafting, cycling, and more, making it an adventure in and of itself. With its classic interiors, regal finesse, floral interiors, antique relics, and warm ambiance, this blooming wooden chalet, which has been lovingly curated by the owners themselves, is authentically vintage from top to bottom. This three-bedroom idyllic retreat is a sight to behold, especially during the winters and the fruit-blooming season, and is truly a refuge from the hubbub of the city.

THE SPACE 

This property’s exquisite façade, which is undoubtedly one of its centerpieces, will suddenly burst into colour as you ascend the cobblestone stairs blanketed in lush greenery.

The first thing that will appear in your sight is the tastefully crafted summer home, which boasts enviable views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. This space is the best respite for those who seek to pull back from the gushing chilly landscape and embrace the warm and cosy companionship of literature. This beautifully designed room with an electric heater is where one can truly unwind in the presence of one’s loved ones. It has an assortment of books, some of which the owner herself has authored, and a well-picked selection of games.

This vintage wooden chalet; a symbol of rich cultural heritage flows effortlessly from room to room, unveiling new angles over the surrounding hills and landscape as you pass through the home. You’ll feel right at home in the living room thanks to its delicate floral décor, charming fireplace, and vintage aesthetic that stands in stark contrast with the overall boho-chic approach of the interiors. If you’re unsure of where to devour the scrumptious Himachali cuisine delicacies, you can either pick to have a feast in the dining area with its old-world antiques and relics or go for an al fresco setup where you can appreciate the exotic birds, swaying deodars and crisp air.

This property’s enchanting exteriors are equally as exquisite as its homey interiors. Encircled by 5 lush leveled lawns, these spaces offer an ethereal experience in itself. Laden with cherry and apple trees, it wouldn’t be surprising if you chose to spend all of your time at the property itself, enjoying your morning tea outside, strolling through the dewy lawns, or igniting your inner adventurer by going on a morning trek, which can be structured by the courteous staff on site. In all, the entire expanse is brimming with thoughtful personal touches of the owners that give this place a befitting experience to indulge in.

THE ROOMS

There are 3 spacious, well-maintained bedrooms, one of them being on the ground floor and the other two on the first floor. The first floor’s two rooms, which are interconnected and share a verandah, offer a good backdrop that is exhilarating, particularly in the morning, however, the room on the ground floor gives complete seclusion.

Each room has its own heater and range of modern amenities to ensure uninterrupted convenience for all its guests. With its bohemian-styled TV room, the room to the right is where one may reconnect with the outside world. Here’s where you can catch u on your favourite comedies, thrillers, and series. The other room, which is just across from it, comprises a mini-study with a comfortable seating area and a collection of exquisite books – a perfect disconnect from the real world. Each room has its own king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom equipped with geysers, towels, and basic toiletries.

CULINARY EXPERIENCES AND DELIGHTS
– A complimentary breakfast is offered. Lunch or Dinner can be provided at an additional cost of Rs. 1250 per person, per meal. 
– As the villa is situated in a remote forest area, we kindly request guests to adhere to the designated meal timings.
– Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates.

SCRIPT YOUR STAY – WHAT A DAY HERE WOULD LOOK LIKE 

Get a taste of impeccable hospitality at this luxe abode with an age-old charm. Here’s what you can expect while spending a day at this property. Wake up to the sun rays flowing in through the windows that each room here has to offer.  There is always time for a quick yoga session with vitamin D and a gentle cool wind if you want to recharge and reconnect with your inner self. Or, if you want to indulge your sense of adventure, you could always go on a hike. Additionally, the staff members here can make arrangements for sports like cycling, rafting, and golf.  If you’re inquisitive about the flora surrounding the property, the caretakers can surely arrange for a guided tour for fruit plucking! As the day progresses, we recommend spending it in the company of your loved ones in the sunroom, playing indoor games like cards and ludo. End the day, savouring the breathtaking views from the verandah.

GUEST ACCESS
The guests have access to the entire villa except for the kitchen.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay.

STAFF ACCOMMODATION
We can provide accommodation for staff members at an additional cost of Rs. 1500 per person, per day, inclusive of meal charges.
