Located in the quiet town of Subathu, Misty Mountains Cottage is a fine homestay tucked away in the hills. It’s location allows one to have stunning views of the mountains and valleys.

The cosy home has a library, pool table ,wood-fired oven and board games so you have enough to do indoors in case it’s too cold for you to step out. The fireplace and heaters will make sure you’re nice and warm.

The lawn and outdoor sit-out are perfect for a cup of tea or two!

BEDROOMS
– There are 2 bedrooms – both on the ground floor.
– WIFI, AC, hairdryers,  heaters and attached bathrooms are offered in both the rooms.
– 1 room has a king-sized bed, while the other one has a queen-sized bed. 

BATHROOMS
– There are 3 bathrooms in the villa – 2 attached, 1 common. 
– All bathrooms have geysers, towels and basic toiletries.

COMMON AREAS
– There are 2 living rooms – 1 on the ground floor, 1 on the first floor. 
– They offer seating for up to 10 people.
– WiFi, fireplace and heaters are offered in both the living rooms.
– The living room on the ground floor also offers a TV and a music system. 
– The dining area seats 4 people. 
– There is a 30×20 ft. lawn with seating for up to 12 people. 

KITCHEN
– Guests can access the kitchen at an additional cost of Rs 2000.
– The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a gas stove, a water purifier, a dishwasher, a toaster, an induction plate, a mixer-grinder, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and a microwave.
– Crockery and cutlery are available.

FOOD
– Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals can be provided at an additional cost.
– Wood-fired pizza is available at an additional cost.
– A barbecue kit/meal can be arranged at an extra charge.
– A cook is available at an additional cost of Rs. 2000 per day.
– The costs for the aforementioned food and beverage offerings and events are subject to an 18% GST charge.
– Prices and items may vary subject to availability and peak season rates.
– Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed.

GUEST ACCESS
– The guests have access to the entire villa.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present at the property to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay. 

STAFF ACCOMMODATION
We are not able to provide accommodation for your personal staff, however, they can be accommodated at nearby lodges at an additional cost.

ACTIVITIES
Within the property, guests can enjoy a peaceful read, indulge in pizzas from the wood-fired oven or play indoor games. Guests can take a soothing walk in nature and embrace its beauty. They can also request for a bonfire to be lit up.

HOME TRUTHS
While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later!
– This property is not suitable for guests who use wheelchairs.
– There is no parking space available at the property.
– The caretaker stays in the premises of the same property.
– WiFi, although it is subject to network availability at any given time.
– Mobile networks such as Jio/Airtel work fairly well here.
– There are CCTV cameras that capture the external areas for security purposes.

ADDITIONAL COSTS
– Guests can access the kitchen at an additional cost of Rs 2000.

– Bonfire can be availed at an additional cost of Rs. 1500 for 3 hours.
– The fireplace can be used at an additional cost of Rs. 500 per hour

HOUSE RULES
– Drinking is allowed. 
– Smoking is allowed only outdoors.
– Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care.

POLICIES
– The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed.
– The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.
– Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa.
– All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
– All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay.
– Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.
– Any illegal activity – including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics – is strictly not permitted.
– Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.
– A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in.
– This entire amount is refunded within five working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
